Get Blown Away by the 2019 Dodge Challenger

June 13th, 2019 by

The 2019 Dodge Challenger is a classic muscle car, wrapped in modern technology. With so many features on the new Challenger, it is no wonder it blows away fans, along with the competition. Here’s a look at some of the main reasons why.

Power and Trim Levels
With five trim levels to choose from, including the SXT, GT, RT, RT Scat Pack, and the SRT Hellcat, there is a style for everyone. Aside from some tweaks in exterior styling, like the performance hood and wide body options, the bulk of the vehicle remains constant. It is the engine that changes.

The 2019 Challenger comes standard with Dodge’s 3.6-liter V-6 24-valve VVT engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission or available Autostick automatic transmission. Also available are the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, the 392 HEMI V-8, supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI SRT Hellcat V-8, and the 6.2-liter HEMI high output V-8 engines.

The 5.7-liter puts out a modest 375 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Compared to the 6.2-liter 392 HEMI at 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque and you understand the 5.7-liter’s modesty.

The 6.2-liter SRT Hellcat cranks out 717 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, but is still out performed by the SRT Hellcat Redeye 6.2-liter’s high output version with 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque.

Acceleration and Braking
For the racing enthusiast, the Challenger’s available launch control system delivers exceptional acceleration. The basic Sport Brake system features 12.6-inch front and rear vented rotors for great stopping power.

Upgrade to the Performance Brake system for 13.6-inch front rotors and dual-piston front sliding calipers. Choose the Brembo four piston calipers with 14.2-inch vented and slotted front rotors, and 13.8-inch vented and slotted rear rotors for 60-0 stopping in under 117-feet. The SRT Hellcat comes with a six piston system with 15.4-inch rotors.

Dodge’s all-speed traction control system helps keep you on the road, applying brake pressure to the wheel or wheels that need it, as well as reducing engine power to help the tires get a grip on the road.

The Challenger sets the tone upon entry with available performance inspired sport seats designed to fit your body, keeping you firmly in your seat. The Sedoso premium cloth seats with Houndstooth premium inserts are standard. The Scat Pack Bee and SRT Hellcat logos are proudly embroidered on the performance seats. Tungsten accent stitching and plenty of soft-touch surfaces make this a comfortable ride.

Ventilated seats are available to keep you cool as you burn up the road and the competition. And if things get too cool in your Challenger flip the switch on the available heated seats to warm things up.

Apply CarPlay and Android Auto are standard features now and part of Dodge’s UConnect system. Dodge’s 4C Nav system, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, hands-free calling, Bluetooth streaming audio, and more are all accessed on the best-in-class 8.4-inch touch screen.

No matter what your driving plans may be, the 2019 Dodge Challenger has a package that will get you where you need to go, and fast. Come test drive one today and see how quickly you get blown away.
